9 Injured, Including 4 Teens, In Weekend Shooting Spree In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - There was more gun violence in Detroit this weekend as four separate shooting incidents unfolded Saturday and Sunday that left nine injured. The youngest victim, a 15-year-old girl, is listed in critical condition after being hit with bullets on the city's west side.

Another shooting outside a party store on the west side injured three people. Police say more than a dozen bullets flew in the parking lot of the store on Wyoming Avenue near Schoolcraft Road.

In a third incident, two people were shot at a disturbance Saturday afternoon near Roselawn and West Outer Drive. The two victims are in hospital, in stable condition.

On Sunday, three more teens were shot on Mendota street in Detroit; two- 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old girl are in serious condition -- they are believed to have been shot while in a suspected stolen van.
