6 Detroit Police Officers Suspended During Federal Investigation For 'Conduct Unbecoming'

DETROIT (WWJ) - Six Detroit police officers suspended with pay while the FBI investigates possible wrongdoing according to Detroit police officials.

Without giving the specifics for the suspension, Detroit police confirmed Tuesday that half a dozen officers will be on leave while the federal investigation is underway.

Reports say the FBI Detroit Area Public Corruption Task Force confirmed there is an ongoing investigation.

Officer's from the 6th, 8th, 11th, and 12th precincts are connected to the investigation but Mark Diaz, with the police officer's union says he doesn't know how they are connected.

While the officers are receiving pay during the suspension period that would change if they are formally charged.
