Funeral For Jayvon Felton Will Be Held Monday

DETROIT (WWJ) - The funeral for nine-year-old Jayvon Felton will be held Monday morning. He's the Detroit boy with leukemia who died just weeks after being named the city's honorary police chief for a day. The 11 a.m. service is at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church, along the Lodge Service Drive near Seven Mile Road. He'll be buried at Woodmere Cemetery on West Fort Street in Detroit.

Meantime, a fund has been set up by the Detroit Public Safety Foundation to help with Jayvon's funeral expenses. The Detroit Public Safety Foundation is accepting donations on the family's behalf. To make a donation, click here. 100 percent of the money raised will be used to help the family.
