4 Suspects Arrested In Oakland Township Screwdriver Stabbing

OAKLAND TWP. (WWJ) - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says four suspects are in custody in connection with the screwdriver stabbing of a man at a mobile home park.

Two men and two women were apprehended Tuesday night in Pontiac. All four are expected to appear in court Wednesday. No further details were released.

The victim, a 58-year old man, was leaving for work when he spotted the suspects in his Jeep around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Woodlands Mobile Home Estates off 32 Mile Road next to Addison Oaks Park. When he confronted them, one stabbed him 12 times in the stomach and back with a screwdriver, according to police.

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening wounds and is expected to recover.

Investigators say the suspects were spotted just prior to the stabbing at a Valero gas station at 32 Mile and Rochester Rd, about a mile away from the victim's home. A surveillance video was released to the public in hopes of identifying the suspects. It's not yet clear if the video played a part in their apprehension.
