4 Injured When Man Opens Fire In Domestic Dispute

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say four people were injured in a shooting when a domestic dispute turned violent on the city's northwest side.

The incident happened around 10:10 p.m. Monday at a home in the 800 block of Calvert, in the Boston-Edison District near Hamilton Avenue just east of the Lodge Freeway.

Although police were vague about circumstances surrounding the shooting, they did confirm that a total of four people were injured.

A woman, approximately 23-years-old, who was shot three times remains in critical condition. Another woman, approximately 38-years-old, is also in critical condition. A 22-year-old woman who was shot once is in temporary-serious condition, as is a 32-year-old man who was shot twice.

The shooter, described as a 46-year-old man, was arrested at the scene. His weapon was also recovered. The relationship between the gunman and the victims was not immediately clear. Names were not released.

An investigation is ongoing.
