4 Injured After Car Leaves Roadway, Crashes Into House

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (AP) - A 17-year-old from St. Joseph in southwestern Michigan is in critical condition at a hospital after the car he was a passenger in slammed into the side of a house.

Police say Sunday that Aidan Aguilar was airlifted to a hospital after the Saturday afternoon crash in St. Joseph.

Treated and released from hospitals were 18-year-old Travis Kovalska of Sodus, 18-year-old Dakota Luna of St. Joseph and 19-year-old Aaron Schlaack of St. Joseph.

Police say Schlaack was driving the car when it crossed three lanes of roadway and hit the home and a gas meter. The area was temporarily evacuated as crews capped the severed gas line.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
