3-Year-Old Injured By Flying Glass As Shots Ring Out In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police say a 3-year-old boy is in stable condition after being injured by shattered glass during a shooting on Detroit's northwest side.

The incident happened around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 19000 block of Yacama, near 7 Mile Road and I-75.

According to police, the toddler was with a 29-year-old woman when an unknown suspect fired shots into the home. As a result, police said the little boy was hit by flying glass. The woman was uninjured.

The boy was rushed to a local hospital where he was last reported in stable condition.

Police have no description of the suspect, but are hoping the public can provide them with tips in the case.
