3 Suspects Arrested After Series Of Robberies On Detroit's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say three suspects have been arrested in connection with a number of robberies that occurred on Detroit's west side.

The suspects -- two juveniles and an adult -- were taken into custody Tuesday morning in the area of Chalmers and Harper avenues, near I-94. Authorities also recovered two long guns.

Police have released few details about the arrests other than to confirm that they were made following several robberies in the area.

Reports started coming in to the WWJ Newsroom around 2:50 a.m. about a shooting in the area of Harper Avenue and Marlborough Street, although it's not known if the shooting is related to the robberies.

Police are expected to release further information on the case later Tuesday.
