3 Lansing Schools On Lockdown After 2 People Shot In Area

LANSING (AP) - Authorities have locked down three Lansing schools following the shootings of two people in connection with an apparent home burglary attempt in the area.

Two people have been arrested Thursday and police were seeking another person in the woods of a park near Everett High School, Cavanaugh Elementary and Gardner Academy.

The shootings did not occur on school property.

Police spokesman Robert Merritt tells the Lansing State Journal Thursday afternoon that it was "too early ... to tell if these people are suspects or if they're actual victims of the shooting."

One shooting victim was found in a wooded area near Everett. The other was dropped off at a hospital.
