3 Charged With Break-In At Home Of Family Attending A Wedding

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Sterling Heights police have three people in custody who allegedly broke into a home while the residents were attending a wedding.

The suspects were caught after they broke into a house on the  42000 block of Locklin Drive on May 9 — and were found with cash and jewelry in hand as they tried to flee the scene.

The home was found to ace been ransacked, with drawers and cupboards emptied out, according to police. They allegedly got in by prying open the garage access door.

Behind bars are 23-year-old Taymar Montaser of Sterling Heights, 20-year-old Thomas Salman of Detroit, and 21-year-old Aveal Youssuf of Troy

All three were arraigned in 41A District Court on charges of second degree home invasion, a 15-year felony, and possession of a burglary tool.

Sterling Heights police are continuing to investigate to determine if the trio can be connected to other recent home robberies of people attending weddings.
