3 Bloomfield Hills Teens Charged In Home Invasions

BLOOMFIELD HILLS (WWJ) - Three Oakland County teenagers are facing home invasion charges after allegedly breaking into homes in Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township.

Bloomfield Township police accuse 17-year old Michael Pickens, 17-year old Khalil Gracey and 18-year old Carrington Simons of breaking into at least two homes and stealing cash, designer athletic shoes and headphones.

One victim told police he believed he was targeted because he had Tweeted that he was going to be out-of-town for a few days.

The stolen property, from homes on Cambridge Way and Hickory Grove, has been recovered.

Pickens was arraigned last week before 48th District Court Magistrate Linden and given a bond of $500,000 cash or surety. Gracey and Simons were arraigned before 48th District Court Magistrate Nelson-Kline and given $25,000 personal bonds.

Police said all three teens are residents of Bloomfield Hills.

Each faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Charged as adults, they're due back in court for a hearing on Tuesday.
