3 Arrested In Connection With Theft Of 32 Tires And Rims From Dealership

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police have three suspects in custody, busted for stealing tires and rims from vehicles on the lot of the Orchard Chrysler dealership on Van Dyke in Washington Township.

Police observed the suspects on Monday night, just a day after 32 rims and tires were stolen from the lot.

Two of the suspects were apprehended after a brief foot chase. The third suspect was later arrested at his home.

The two men who were arrested after the foot chase were arraigned Wednesday morning in the 42nd District Court of Romeo.

Justin Edwards, 20,and George Pace, 30, both of Detroit are charged with (attempted) larceny from a motor vehicle and resisting and obstructing arrest.

Edwards was given a $25,000 cash-or-surety bond and Pace was given a $10,000 (personal) bond.

Additional charges are pending.
