$250K In Damage When Suspected Drunken Driver Crashes Into Used Car Lot

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (AP) - A suspected drunken driver crashed a pickup truck into a used car lot in western Michigan, damaging more than a dozen vehicles.

The crash happened Wednesday at Boulevard Used Cars in Grand Haven.

Police say the man jumped a curb and hit a car head-on, pushing it into other vehicles and through a light pole until the car wrapped around the business' sign.

The 53-year-old Muskegon driver was treated at a hospital for injuries.

The Grand Haven Tribune reports he was arrested and later released. The Muskegon Chronicle says damage is estimated at $250,000.

Salesman Joe Danicek says it's not the first time they've seen such a crash. He says more than a decade ago a drunken driver crashed into the same spot, but only hit one car.
