25-Year-Old Oakland County Man Jailed In Alleged Road Rage Incident

CLARKSTON (WWJ) - A 25 year-old Independence Township man has been arrested after he allegedly brandished a gun in a suspected road rage incident.

It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday as the suspect was stopped, in his maroon Dodge Ram van, at the intersection of Sashabaw and Clarkston roads in Clarkston.

Oakland County Sheriff's officials say the suspect pulled up next another vehicle and pointed a handgun at the passengers inside.

One of the alleged victims called 911 and the suspect was apprehended at a nearby Rite Aid a short time later. Deputies said he had a black revolver in his possession that matched a description provided by the victim.

No shots were fired and no one was injured. The circumstances leading up to the incident were not immediately detailed by police.

The suspect remains lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending unspecified criminal charges. His name has not yet been released.
