22 Dogs Rescued From Burning Home On Detroit's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit fire fighters rescued 22 dogs and at least one guinea pig at a home on fire on West Hollywood. The home is west of John R and South of 7 Mile.

Reportedly, all the pets survived, with many puppies among the rescued.

"We don't know what we are going to do," said Demetrius Walton. "I guess we've got to pray on the Lord and just, you know, let him work it out for us."

No one was injured.

Detroit fire officials say they are not sure why there were so many dogs at the home or if any charges will be brought against the owner.
