21-Year-Old Oakland County Man Killed In Rollover Crash

OXFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities are looking at drugs and alcohol as possible factors in a one-car rollover crash that killed a young Oakland County man over the holiday weekend.

It happened shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday along Oakwood Road near Coats Road in Oxford Township.

According to Oakland County Sheriff's officials, 21-year-old Joseph Fuentes of Groveland Township was driving a 2001 Lexus 300 westbound on Oakwood when his car left the roadway, struck several trees and overturned.

Fuentes was taken by EMS to McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac where he died of his injuries a short time later.

While the crash remains under investigation, sheriff's officials say they believe  alcohol and drugs may have been a factor.

It's unknown at this time whether he was wearing a seatbelt.
