2 Women Suspected In Attempted Car Thefts In Detroit's Corktown [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are looking for tips to identify two young women wanted for trying to steal cars in Detroit's Corktown district.

Police on Thursday released photos and security video clips of the suspects — who are accused in an incident on Saturday, Sept. 3, at around 8 a.m.

Police say the two females trespassed onto a property, in the 1300 block of Michigan Ave. Once inside, they attempted to steal three vehicles and their tire causing severe damage to the vehicles and to a large fence.

Anyone who recognizes these suspects, knows of their whereabouts or has any information pertaining to this crime is asked to call the Detroit Police Commercial Auto Theft Unit at 313-596-2555, or Help Eliminate Auto Thefts hotline at 1-800-242-HEAT.
