2 Police Officers, Woman Injured In West Side Detroit Crash

DETROIT (WWJ) - Two Detroit police officers and a third person were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the city's west side.

Police say the cops were traveling westbound on the Davison in an unmarked car when another car headed eastbound turned in front of them, at Rosa Parks, Thursday afternoon.

The driver of the other car, a woman, was taken to a local hospital along with the two officers. The officer who was in the passenger's seat, police said, was the most seriously hurt. He suffered a head injury but was expected to be OK.

All three were last reported in stable condition.

The woman, whose car came to rest when it hit Greater Quinn AME Church on the corner, was found to be at fault in the crash. She was ticketed.

Traffic on the Davison was backed up during an accident investigation following the incident but that scene has since cleared.

No names were released.
