2 Killed In Separate Michigan Snowmobile Crashes
BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say separate snowmobile crashes in northern Michigan have claimed the lives of two men.
State police say that 61-year-old Ronald Kelly of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, was one of four snowmobilers on a trail Saturday in the eastern Upper Peninsula when he hit a snowbank, was ejected and struck a tree.
State police say it happened about 6:30 p.m. in Chippewa County's Bruce Township, about 7 miles south of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
The Cadillac News and the Traverse City Record-Eagle say that 31-year-old Jeffery D. Wright of the Kalamazoo suburb of Vicksburg died Saturday when he left a trail and went over an embankment in Wexford County's Clam Lake Township. The site is in the northern Lower Peninsula, about 35 miles southeast of Traverse City.
