2 From Indianapolis Killed In Michigan Motorcycle Crash

LEELANAU TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say two people from Indianapolis have died following a motorcycle crash in northern Michigan.

The Leelanau County sheriff's department say a 59-year-old man died along with a 57-year-old woman who was his passenger following Thursday's crash in Leelanau Township. Their names weren't immediately released.

According to investigators, the man lost control of the motorcycle on a curve, veered across the center line and collided with an oncoming car driven by 26-year-old woman. The motorcycle riders, who weren't wearing helmets, were thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

The driver of the car wasn't injured. The crash is under investigation.
