2 Firefighters Injured While Battling Apartment Fire In Southwest Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two firefighters have been sent to Detroit Receiving Hospital for injuries sustained while battling an apartment fire on Detroit's southwest side Monday.

One civilian was also injured in the fire on Michigan Avenue near Wesson. The severity of the injuries is unclear at this time.

A group of people living in the building needed to be rescued from the blaze. A space heater may have started the fire.
