2 Deaths On Lakes In Separate Incidents Over The Weekend

MARINE CITY (WWJ) - A 57-year-old man is dead after scuba diving in the St. Clair River.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's office says the man was with a group of scuba divers in Marine City Sunday morning, and started yelling for help before submerging in the water. Officials say the man, identified as James Fox, was pulled out of the water and taken to the hospital, but died on the way there.

Fox apparently had a heart condition, and his death was not ruled a drowning.

Meantime, in the Lower Peninsula, a 79-year-old man was found dead in a lake in Clair County. The man's body was pulled from Shingle Lake Saturday afternoon.

It's not yet clear how he died.

An investigation continues into both incidents.
