2 Dead After Pickup Runs Stop Sign, T-Bones Sports Car In Pinconning

PINCONNING, Mich. (AP) — A husband and wife have died in a car accident in Bay County's Pinconning Township.

MLive.com reports Michigan State Police troopers responded to a crash around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Sgt. Duane Zook says 50-year-old Donald Raber and 65-year-old Denise Raber were pronounced dead at the scene.

State police say a 39-year-old woman driving a pickup truck ran a stop sign and collided at a 90-degree angle with the couple's sports car, which then hit a utility pole and rolled over.

The driver of the pickup truck and a 33-year-old passenger were taken to a hospital in Bay City to be treated for injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Zook says alcohol isn't believed to be a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
