2 Arrested After High-Speed Chase Through Livonia, Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police and Michigan State Police have arrested two men on the city's west side following a high-speed chase.

The pursuit began, late Wednesday morning, on I-96 in Detroit, crossing into Livonia before the suspects turned back and started heading toward downtown before exiting at the Davison.

Followed from the air by TV choppers, the chase went into the neighborhoods, where the suspects jumped out of the car, according to police.

One of them men was taken into custody and the second one ran. He was eventually caught by police, near I-96 and Wyoming, and arrested.

No injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear what led to the chase or why the suspects were wanted. Their names have not been released.
