14-Year-Old In Custody After Fatal Stabbing In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - A 14-year-old is facing some serious charges after police say he pulled a knife on an 18-year-old and stabbed him to death.

Police say the incident unfolded around 6:40 p.m. Monday at a home on Grandville, in a neighborhood just north of 7 Mile and Evergreen roads on Detroit's west side.

According to police, the teens initially had an argument that turned into an altercation. At some point, the younger boy pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed the older teen. Reports describe the boys as siblings.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the 14-year-old remains in custody.

An investigation is ongoing.
