13-Year-Old Boy Robbed At Gunpoint In Downriver McDonald's Bathroom

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police and Crime Stoppers are looking to the public for help to identify two men suspected of robbing a 13-year-old boy at gunpoint in a McDonald's bathroom.

The robbery took place on Tuesday, Aug. 26 between 9:24 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. at 10955 W. Jefferson near Louis Street in River Rouge.

According to Crime Stoppers of Michigan, one of the suspects pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and robbed the young victim of a $350 Gucci brand belt and a necklace. The suspects went through the victims backpack and ordered the teen to wait in a stall while they fled.

Officials say two young women are suspected assisting with the crime, helping the suspects get away in a black hatchback vehicle — possibly a Ford Fiesta.

No one was hurt.

Suspect number one is described as a black male, around 6 feet tall with a medium to light complexion. He had braided hair and was wearing dark pants and a shirt with "OCC" on the front.

The second suspect is a black male around 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a dark complexion and short hair. He was wearing a light blue shirt and dark color shorts.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
