$11K Reward Offered For Help To Catch Dearborn Serial Bank Robbery

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Police and Crime Stoppers on Tuesday will officially announced a reward of up to $11,000 for the tip that leads to the arrest of a serial bank robber.

Dearborn Chief Ronald Haddad says the man robbed a Charter One branch on Michigan Ave. on May 31; a Comerica Bank branch on Warren Ave. on June 20; and a Chase Bank branch on Wyoming Ave.  on July 16.

In all three cases, the suspect fled with an undiscosed amount of cash in an awaiting vehicle.

The suspect has been described as a black male (medium complexion) in his 30's, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, average build, and approximately 180 lbs.  In several incidents the suspect is wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses.

"Our investigation is ongoing and we believe assistance from the community will be crucial in making an arrest of this serial bank robber," said Haddad in a media release.

Crime Stoppers is putting up a $1,000 reward. The remaining $10,000 offered comes from police and other contributors.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the security photo or who has relating to any of these robberies is asked to contact Dearborn police tip line at 313-943-3012 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK UP.  As always, tipsters to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous.
