1 Person Killed In Multi-Car Crash On I-94

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating a deadly accident that shut down the eastbound lanes of I-94 on Detroit's east side for hours.

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on I-94 near Mt. Elliott.

Two cars and a truck were involved in the crash, although other circumstances weren't immediately clear.

One person was killed in the crash and two others were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

The freeway was completely closed to eastbound traffic as police investigated the scene, but has since reopened.
