Police: Man Killed While Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Detroit Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say a man was killed while breaking into his ex-girlfriend's apartment on the city's west side.

The incident unfolded just before 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Wabash, in a neighborhood along Rosa Parks Boulevard and Grand River Avenue.

Police say a 21-year-old man, armed with a handgun, broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and was shot multiple times by the woman's 32-year-old brother. He did not survive.

Both handguns were recovered at the scene.

Other circumstances weren't immediately clear.

An investigation is ongoing.
