1 Killed, 2 Hurt After Vehicle Hit By Drunken Driver

WAYLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — One person has been killed and two others injured after the vehicle they were in was struck by a drunken driver in western Michigan.

The Allegan County sheriff's office says the vehicle rolled over in a dense tree line early Saturday morning in Wayland Township, south of Grand Rapids.

The vehicle that hit them rolled over into a ditch. That driver was being held in the county jail pending charges.

The sheriff's office says police had been pursuing that vehicle which they had seen speeding.

One of the people injured in the crash was in critical condition at an area hospital. The other was in serious condition.
