Zoo Asks Permission To Raise Admission During High Season

DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Zoo is asking the city council to raise admission prices for visitors.

The Denver Zoo wants to raise admission prices by $2 during the high season which is March through October. That would make the general admission ticket price for an adult $17.

During the off season the zoo wants to charge $1 more which would make the general admission ticket price $13.

The zoo said the money will cover the rising costs of animal food and veterinary care.

The Denver City Council will vote on the proposal Sept. 8.
