LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Lakewood police have arrested a murder suspect out of Texas.

According to a release from the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office in Texas, Alexander was found dead in his truck under a bridge in Angleton, Texas on May 3. A witness would later come forward naming Foyt as the killer and led Texas deputies to Lakewood where he was arrested.

Investigators have not said why Foyt fled to Colorado and don't' believe he knew his victim. They say decapitating Alexander's body may have been his attempt at concealing or destroying evidence.

Foyt is currently awaiting extradition back to Texas. Until then he's being held in the Jefferson County Detention Facility.

Investigators have yet to find Alexander's head.

Authorities said Foyt fled Texas immediately after the murder. It's not clear if he's been in Colorado the entire time following the murder.
