Rockies Pick Outfielder Zac Veen During First Round Of 2020 MLB Draft

DENVER (CBS40 - The Colorado Rockies selected outfielder Zac Veen with their first round pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. Veen is out of Spruce Creek High School in Florida. He was the 2020 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year.

Veen bats left and throws right. He is the third outfielder ever selected by the Rockies in the first round. Kyle Parker (2010) and David Dahl (2012) were the previous two.

Veen is the 15th high school player ever selected by the Rockies in the first round.
