Youth One Book, One Denver Features Local Author

DENVER (CBS4)- This year's youth One Book, One Denver is the Book Scavenger by local author Jennifer Chambliss Bertman.
The story centers around a young reader and her determination to help her literary idol.
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock was at the Cole Arts and Science Academy on Friday when the book was announced.
The book was chosen by 1,500 kids between the ages of nine and 12. This is the fifth year for the summer reading program.
The One Book, One Denver program encourages children to read by giving them a shared reading experience.
