YMCA Celebrates Renovation With Grand Reopening

DENVER (CBS4)- The Schlessman Family YMCA is celebrating its renovation with a grand reopening this weekend.
The YMCA located at Colorado and Yale completed its first major makeover since it was built 68 years ago.
The transformations include an additional 15,000 square foot workout space, a zero-entry warm water pool and work out areas.
The YMCA is different than many other recreation centers because it tries to make exercise an option no matter the financial situation.
"The YMCA, being a nonprofit, we offer all of the services other agencies do but we can do that for people who can't afford it as well," said Schlessman Family YMCA Executive Director Neil Alderson.
