Wrong-Way Driver In Deadly Crash Identified

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)- The wrong-way driver who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on South Parker Road over the weekend has been identified.

Police in Parker have identified the man as Michael Christopher Sputh.

Police said Sputh, 45, was behind the wheel of the red Toyota Tacoma driving northbound in the southbound lanes of S. Parker Road near J. Morgan Boulevard for "quite some time" about 6:30 p.m. Saturday when it clipped one vehicle.

Two people on a motorcycle saw what was happening and laid down the motorcycle.

Both people on the motorcycle suffered minor injuries.

The Tacoma went airborne over the motorcycle riders and collided with another vehicle. The truck then burst into flames and Sputh was killed.

Police found small bottles of alcohol at the scene.
