Wray School District Cancels Classes After Possible Threat

WRAY, Colo. (CBS4) - Schools in Wray on Colorado's Eastern Plains were canceled Thursday after a possible threat against the school district.

The Wray School District website states classes and activities at all three of the district's schools are called off.

Those three schools are Wray Elementary School, Buchanan Middle School and Wray High School.

School administrators said they are working with the Wray Police Department in their investigation of the possible threat.

The Wray Police Department was made aware of the threat to school district staff and students on the Yik Yak website. The threat did not specifically target either teachers or students.

Susan L. Goettel, Superintendent of Wray School District, said in a statement, "We are cooperating with the ongoing investigation with the Wray Police Department."

A decision about classes on Friday has not yet been determined.
