Wounded Warrior Project Brings New Truck To Life

DENVER (CBS4)- Hundreds of cars and trucks fill the Colorado Convention Center at this year's Denver Auto Show that include new models, upgraded designs and a look at the future of automotive technology.

Nissan tried something different this year by putting the development of its newest truck right into the hands of customers.

The new Nissan Titan V8 used public opinion to create new product ideas. Through social media pages like Facebook and Twitter, users voted on aesthetic and functional aspects of the pickup.

The Nissan Titan is grabbing a lot of attention, wrapped in camouflage with a set of grill lights that shine bright.

Part of Nissan's social media campaign partnered with the Wounded Warrior project. After the truck was completed, Nissan sent two wounded warriors, military veterans who were wounded, to Alaska where they took an off-roading adventure of a lifetime.

Visitors to the Denver Auto Show can't miss it, the Titan is one of the biggest trucks on the floor.

The show at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver continues through Sunday.
