Woman's Body Found After Fire Breaks Out In Golden

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - An investigation is under way into a fire in Golden in which a woman's body was found.

Flames broke out at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at a building with multiple homes inside located near 12th Avenue and Ulysses Street.

One unit of the building was damaged, and a woman's body was found inside. Authorities said the woman was dead before firefighters arrived.

So far it's not clear how the fire started.

An evacuation that was in place for a short time was lifted at the building.
