Woman Reports Being Sexually Assaulted Early Monday Morning

DENVER (CBS4) - A woman told police she was sexually assaulted early Monday morning in Denver.

The victim called police from West Colfax Avenue and Speer Boulevard. Police radio traffic indicates she called from a Burger King and told dispatchers that the man who attacked her had a gun.

Discussions on police radios indicate the assault may have happened somewhere on Larimer Street and the suspect had a silver gun.

Investigators haven't released any other information.

It was the second attack in or near the downtown area this month. A woman was attacked as she walked to her car in a parking garage in LoDo on June 8 but was able to fight off her attacker with pepper spray.
