Woman, Man Injured, Focus Of Stabbing Investigation

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies and police rushed to a home in Clear Creek County on Saturday morning on reports of a stabbing that left two people injured.

Deputies from Clear Creek, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and officers from Idaho Springs Police and the Division of Wildlife responded to the scene at a home in the 1000 block of Old Squaw Pass Road.

The officers found an injured female and an injured male. The woman was rushed to the hospital in a medical helicopter and the man was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

"Right now we're trying to get a search warrant to get in the house, nobody's in the house, we're waiting for the judge and our officer and investigator to get the search warrant signed and then we'll continue the investigation from there, said Clear Creek County Sheriff Rick Albers.

An investigation into what happened is underway. Sheriff's deputies confirm the injuries are related to the same incident but have not said whether it was a domestic dispute. Deputies did say there is no danger to the public.
