Woman Killed In Maryland Mall Shooting Was From Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman killed in a shooting at a mall in Maryland once lived in Colorado Springs.

The Maryland mall is back open after the deadly shooting. Police have identified the teenage shooter and now they hope a new discovery may lead them to a motive.

Police say 19-year-old Darion Marcus Aguilar brought a shotgun and homemade explosives to a skateboard shop at the mall. He shot and killed store employees Brianna Benlolo and Tyler Johnson before taking his own life.

CBS4 has learned Benlolo attended high school in Colorado Springs before moving to Maryland.

Investigators found a journal at Aguilar's home. They hope that may explain why he did it.

Johnson's family says the shooting was sensless.
