Woman Injured In Crash While Eluding Troopers Near Trinidad

TRINIDAD, Colo. (AP) - The Colorado State Patrol says a woman was injured after crashing while trying to flee a traffic stop on Interstate 25 near Trinidad.

Sgt. Scott Hophan says the woman was stopped Friday evening for suspected drunk driving and then took off.

The state patrol says troopers called off the chase because it became too dangerous.

A short time later the Colorado State Patrol was notified that the fleeing vehicle had crashed while attempting to exit the highway.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital. Charges against the woman have not been released.
