Investigators say the woman, whose name has not been released, was last seen alive at an observation point on the north side of the Royal Gorge on Monday evening. Officers searched the area but had to stop because of nightfall.

The woman's body was recovered from a cliff face below the observation point Tuesday morning. Investigators say the fall appears to be accidental.
