Woman Facing Charges Of Aggravated Animal Cruelty After Emaciated Pit Bulls Found

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (AP) - A woman is facing seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty after authorities found three emaciated pit bulls living in a vacant house.

Crystal McIntosh says she moved out of the house three months ago and didn't know what happened to the dogs. She says the water and electricity had been shut off.

Police say a neighbor called 911 after noticing broken windows in the home and heard dogs barking.

Officers got a search warrant and found four pit bulls, three of them emaciated, and several dead turtles.

It was not known if she had an attorney.
