Woman Crashes Into Ditch With Child Onboard While Running From Authorities

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman wanted by the law crashed into a ravine in Loveland with at least one child onboard after taking off from authorities late Monday night.

According to Colorado State Patrol, it began when a trooper pulled the woman over for weaving on East 1st Street in Loveland.

While checking on the female driver, identified as Kathleen Marie White, 37, the trooper found that she had five felony warrants for her arrest. The woman then drove off, and Loveland police who happened to be in the area went after her.

Police tried using stop sticks and their cruisers to keep the driver from escaping but could not get her to stop. The woman continued, and entered an apartment complex near East 1st Street and Denver Avenue, where she went through a chain link fence and into a ditch.

Police were able to arrest White and pulled her vehicle out. One neighbor saw the chase unfold.
