Woman Charged With Shooting Teen Girl

DENVER (CBS4)- The woman accused of shooting a teenage girl in the arm last weekend has been formally charged.

Cherry Robertson has been charged with second-degree assault.

The charges allege that on Saturday, following an altercation between Robertson's daughter and the 14-year-old victim, Robertson fired a short from a handgun, striking the teen in the arm.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and treated and released.

Robertson currently remains in custody on a $100,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Friday at 9:30 a.m. to be formally advised of the charge.
