Woman Charged In Hit And Run Crash

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman accused of causing a hit and run crash on Sunday while driving drunk has been formally charged.

Nyeesha Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury, aggravated driving after revocation, resisting arrest and no proof of insurance.

Gonzalez allegedly was driving drunk in the area of 14th Avenue and Quebec on Sunday and caused a crash that injured another person.

The charges further allege that she fled the scene and resisted arrest after being located nearby a short time later.

Gonzalez had her driving privileges previously revoked.

She remains in custody on a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. to be formally advised of the charges.
