Woman Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Man In Montbello Formally Charged

DENVER (CBS4) - A woman accused of stabbing a man to death in Denver has been formally charged.

According to Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office, Shandrea Bowie, 32, is charged with one count of second-degree murder and four counts of child abuse.

"The charges allege that on July 31 Bowie stabbed Dydrick Martin, 47, in the chest with a knife. He was transported to University of Colorado Hospital where he was pronounced dead," Kimbrough said in a statement.

The stabbing occurred Aug. 1 in the 5400 block of Quari Street on Montbello.

Bowie remains in custody. She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to be advised of the charges.
