Woman Accused In I-70 Road Rage Incident Formally Charged

DENVER (CBS4) - A woman accused in a road rage incident has been formally charged.

According to Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office, Andrea Marquez, 31, is charged with criminal mischief, menacing, driving under revocation and reckless driving.

According to police, the incident occurred on March 12 at approximately 5:30 p.m. on westbound Interstate 70 at the I-25 interchange.

Police said the suspect "blocked the victim's vehicle on I-70 … and then exited her vehicle while in traffic. The suspect female then opened her trunk, produced a metal object and began hitting the victim's vehicle causing extensive damage."

Marquez was released from custody on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. She is scheduled to appear court May 16 to be formally advised of the charges.
